Assay performance
Cultrexes are the best 3D matrixes for cell cultures known as matrigel or cultrex. Basal membrane extracts higher the differentiation capacity or from basal membrane over what can be achieved by 2D monolayer cultures from epithelial cells. You can use cultrex for high differentiation in a 3D matrix as Basement Membrane Extracts (BME), extracellular matrix from lumen epithelial or endothelial cells. BME, collagen I, collagen IV, laminin I, fibronectin and vitronectin are pathogen tested and suitable for 3d and pluripotent stem cell culture. Cultrex Basement Membrane and the PathClear Protocol is supplied in a liquid form of basement membrane purified from Engelbreth-Holm-Swarm (EHS) tumor at a concentration of 13 - 17 mg/ml from Murine Engelbreth-Holm-Swarm (EHS) tumor with Dulbecco’s Modified Eagle’s medium without phenol red and with 11 ug/ml gentamicin sulfate with cultrex BME for thin Layer Method (non-gelling).

The gelatin protein mixture of Trevigen is called Cultrex and it is a matrigel like secreted supernatant of the EHS mouse sarcoma cell line. It is a 3D structure similar to Tissues and cells will to adhere to this basement membrane extract BME very well. Cultrexes are the best medium for 3D cell culture studies. They can be used as a metastasis model or an iPSC model (induced pluripotent stem cell). The cultrex medium is useful for cell migration studies using the Pathclear endotoxin free and sterile basement membrane extract. Enghelbreth Holm Swarm sarcoma cells are sold by Corning. A collagen, laminin, fibronectin and vitrobectin Cultrexes are available from Trevigen. Cultrex® Human has been tested for the viruses should be handled in a BSL2 ( biosafety level 2 ) environment.
Description
Associated membrane protein types are lipopolysaccharide selective barriers. Biological membranes include cell membranes, outer coverings of cells or organelles that allow passage of certain proteins and nuclear membranes, which cover a cell nucleus; and tissue membranes, such as mucosae and serosae.
